When asked to indicate the top 3 reasons for using a coaching the future, “providing guidance to help others realize their potential” topped the list at 58% according to HR.com (HR Research Institute).

This week I helped a client receive valuable feedback about an incentive program that was demotivating a team member, talked another client through a mediation with an ex-spouse, tailor a package for a previous client to regroup after COVID-19 effects and talk to a team of mechanics who wanted to achieve better results without aggression.

Each situation was handled differently, however the thinking is always the same. How can I be the next best version of myself and show people ways to move toward their next best version of themselves.

By slowing down and looking at expectations and discipline you will discover new ways of leadership and a coach helps you to fast track the process.

We simply do not know what we do not know – I have use coaches and mentors in my entire life starting with team sports as a competitive child, guidance counsellors as a student and my first mentor at age 21. To ‘start with the end in mind’ was his lesson to me and to grow the skill to ‘think for myself’ was our daily aspiration.

If you don’t know it all, it’s tricky to think about critical issues without a bigger perspective.
